Sorry this is so late today but I was getting so frustrated that I could not get what I considered a good pic of my card today. I loved how my card turned out and it was making me mad because I didnt think that all my coloring details were showing up as well on other photos I had taken. Anywho I went to Mamas today and snapped a few pics of my card using her light tent and got a much better pic to share with you. Im gonna get this indoor photographing of my cards one of these days yall just bear with me!LOL!!

A sweet friend of mine I work with got married over the summer out of state and I didnt get a chance to go. Since we go back to school in 2 weeks I wanted to make her a card to give her. I thought this Tiddly Inks you and me image was perfect for her. I colored the image to look like her and her new hubby. I dont make alot of elegant type cards so I had to dig for some dp to pair with this image!LOL! This retired SU parisian breeze (I think thats the name of it) dp was perfect. I've been practicing on coloring folds in clothes and I wanted her dress to have a more champagne look than white so I used the e40-e43 for her dress. Im so happy with how her dress turned out!! I used this card as a guide where to place my folds. I can color the folds if they are drawn into the stamp but I have a hard time with placing them in the right place without it. This is actually the first time I've tried to color them like this so Im pretty proud. Thanks Cheryl! Of course it had to have sparkle too so I added some SU dazzling diamonds glitter. I used 2 pearls and 2 primas for todays 2 by 2 challenge and I also used this months sfytt for my layout.

Heavy Metal Joy

I was so happy when I saw todays WT challenge heavy metal. I've been wanting to play along with this weeks Crazy 4 Challenges joy fold and I knew the hh fastener would be perfect! I had colored this Lilli Claire image (inspired by Make it Colorful unusual hair colors) last week for the color throwdown challenge but never got to finish it. I just love her pink hair!! She reminds me of Strawberry Shortcake!LOL! I paired her with urban prairie dp and used the sentiment from PTI little lady. I used my MS butterfly punch and added a rhinestone to the center. I also pulled out some of my colored brads for the heavy metal challenge and used my SU celery brads and some rose red brads I got a long time ago from Pink Hedgehog Paper crafts. Since this card has more than one fold Im also playing along with this weeks anything goes challenge. Love when everything works out and I can get 3 challenges into 1 card! Oh and I actually plan on playing along with Make it colorful unusual hair color challenge since I had so much fun coloring up her pink hair!LOL! Yall know I LOVE coloring me some hair! I thought I'd give yall a break from my Tiddly Inks images and show you something else tonight!LOL! But I will be back with some more TI images soon...Before I get onto the card I wanted to let yall know that Amber Ink that I had the privilege of being a DT member of is having their 1st bday celebration this week on their Amber Inklings blog. For todays card I used a new to me image Cupcake Brigitta from ATS. Now yall know I love me some swiss pixies!LOL! I got the EK success cupcake border punch awhile back from Michaels and was waiting for the perfect cupcake image to pair it with. I combined Brigitta with some American Crafts dp (I think!?). This is also another one of the cards I made awhile back so of course I dont have the list of copics. I did lots of sponging with antique linen on this card though. The Happy bday sentiment is from an old retired SU set birthday banter. Well thats it for me today. Hubby and kiddos are out fishing so Im sooo enjoying a quiet house!!Ahhhhh!!LOL!! Have a good one!

Im sharing a card with you today that I actually made a couple of months ago and just never got around to loading. I had just gotten this adorable set from TGF called Little Dreamer. I came across a tutorial by Annika on drawing clouds with copics and I thought Oliver was the perfect image for trying it out on. The cloulds all ending up looking like they were coming out of his head but thats ok!LOL! Annika also has an awesome tutorial on coloring with prismacolor pencils on kraft I cant wait to try out. My pencils could use some dusting off.

I kept the card super simple and used some MME dp. I actually pulled out some of my pumpkin brads and used them on this card. Sorry I dont have copic colors for this card. P.S. I just love Olivers bowl cut!LOL! Have a great day!

Sorry this is such a late post today but I had all kinds of issues with this card!LOL! I made this card for todays SCS Free for all twine challenge. I used this weeks SCS colors-baja breeze, not quite navy, and cherry cobbler. I started with this weeks sketch also but it just wasnt working out so I had to move some stuff around. I had the hardest time trying to photograph this card for some reason today too and then I uploaded it wrong on SCS!LOL! You think someone was trying to tell me something?!LOL!

I love this image called Sisters from Tiddly Inks. I think it works for sisters or a mother and daughter image. For this card I stuck with sisters and colored the image like me and my lil sis. For the baja layer I stamped using linen and french script background and sponged the edges. While I was trying to find a sentiment for this card (I had bday on the brain since my lil man turned 8 years old today!) I ran across this sentiment from Treehouse and thought it would make a good bday sentiment. I really love how the card turned out and wish it showed on the photo. I think the person receiving it will love it though and thats why we do this right?!! I love seeing the smile on someones face when they see my card to them! Well thats its for me today. Im bday pooped and have to do it again tomorrow b/c its my MIL bday. Have a great weekend!

A Happy Hello

Do any of you ever sit in blogger with your card uploaded and just look at the screen and think ok...what do I say!?LOL! Im having one of those moments right now.

I've still been playing around with my camera and have found stuff on it I didnt even know it had!LOL! and just for the record I think Gimp hates me..it kicks me out every time! For todays card I combined this weeks SCS sketch challenge and this weeks Color Q color challenge. I would have never put these colors together but I do really like how they look together. I colored this super adorable Tiddly Inks image using the colors. I was going for the peach look for her hair but it didnt turn out quite the way I wanted. I added some dazzling diamonds glitter to the hearts and stamped the SU sentiment in real red. The striped layer is SU real red prints and I stamped a heart from a Kim Hughes set onto the pear pizzazz using kiwi kiss. The button is from PTI and even though it doesnt look like it in the pic is a really close match to the marina mist. Today is actually the first time I've even used my marina mist cs. The ribbon I used is SU peach parfait ribbon. Hope you all have a great day and stay cool cuz its another HOT one in GA today!

Yayyy! I can finally post more often!! I have a stack of 5 or 6 cards waiting to be photographed. This is why I dont post alot...trying to wait on a day I can take some photos of the cards and in Ga summers thats not an easy thing to do!LOL! Yesterday as I was browsing through some blogs I found this awesome tutorial by Jen. Thank you Jen!!! I played around with my camera tonight *since I read it but forgot to write anything down of course*(lol!) and although its not quite right Im still happy to get a half decent photo inside!LOL! This card is miles ahead of anything else I've tried to photograph inside. Next time I will defintly write everything down and try it again. Mama you better try this!LOL!

Okay so for my card today I used a new to me super cute image from Tiddly Inks. I LOVE this poppy girl image. I pulled out some OLD Basic Grey paper I actually think this is from the 1st set of basicy grey paper I ever bought!LOL! I used Scarlet letter dp for my card and followed this weeks Card patterns sketch w/a little tweak!LOL! Im so happy to be back stamping I have really missed sharing with you guys. Have a great night! Yes its true! I really made a card!LOL! I've actually had this card made about 2 weeks now and since its for the Sfytt for June and today is the last day I figured I might better go ahead and post it. Nothing like waiting til the last day!LOL!

I dont even know where to begin to update you on all the things that have been going on in the last few months so I just give you a few quick updates in no particular order. After a years fight with leukemia my Papa passed away in May. Madison was saved and baptized. We had a great week of VBS where I helped teach a class. My husband is no longer in the band. We have been spending June in the pool just about everyday. I've lost almost 20 lbs. As of now I've decided to give Pre-K another go for next year since this will be Alanas last year at our school (sniff sniff).

Okay now onto the card. Even though I've havent been stamping alot over the last few months I've still been visiting some of my favorite blogs. My blogs are like my coffee for most of you...my day just doesnt start right without it!LOL! Since I havent stamped in awhile I combined a few things I jotted down for inspiration to give me a little push. I loved how Lesa colored the tulips and her top with the dots in this card. I loved Amys and Susan's take on the sfytt so I used both as my inspiration. For my papers and colors I loved Linda's card here. Its fun to case your stamping friends! I love how this turned out and it was just what I needed to get my mojo going. Im still not sure how often I will post something weekly at least. Hope you're all having a great summer and I will do my best to stop by your blogs and leave some comments!

Todays CAS challenge is tickle your funny bone. I like sarcastic funny since thats what I tend to be!LOL! So I went with this Creepy Crew girl and stamped a sassy sentiment from MFT and then I said set. I used my fave saying SERIOUSLY!?! the inside of the card says...ANOTHER birthday!? This is for one of my sarcastic friends and she will love it! I pulled out some retired SU vintage violet and paired it with Coredinations cs for a monochromatic card. I kept the layout super simple for the CAS challenge. I was just in the mood for a little CAS today!LOL! TFL!

Todays SCS featured stamper is Neva aka Mom!! Yayy!! I had to play along today and since she is the Queen of Combos I had to throw a few challenges into one card. I got 4 in this card. I used this weeks SCS sketch, technique challenge(handmade tickets), ATS anything goes challenge and of course the FS challenge. I bet you thought I wasnt coming back and honestly... I wasnt sure if I was or not either! Life is just way too hectic lately and I was stressing so much over DT deadlines that I had to step down from all my DTs until this school year is over. We've got alot of changes going on this year in PreK and b/w work, 3 kids ages 10 and under, a husband in a band that is staying very busy I was stretched about as far as I could go!LOL! I really hated to leave the DTs but I just dont get the computer and stamping time anymore so until summer my posts will be sporadic.

I wanted to share a card with you today that I made..quite awhile back!LOL! I finally caved and bought some super cute creepers from TGF. When they first came out I thought they were cute but I didnt know if I would use them or not. Of course then I see all the fabulous cards everyone has made with them and I changed my mind. So I started with my fave Friday Creeper. Shes so cute with her wild curly hair! It was so fun to color! I paired her with some October Afternoon Daydream dp and of course colored her with my much loved Copics. I even jotted down the colors! Yayy! I went super simple with the layout but I just love how it turned out! Hope everyone has a great Valentines Day and btw I cant believe my daughter is 10 yrs old today!! I have a child with a double digit age...where did the time go?!

Sorry this isnt a good pic. Winds are blowing here so after the third time my card fell I gave up and just went with the one shot I had!LOL!

This is a card I made awhile back so Im going to TRY to remember all the details on it. I used TSB Mikey the Fox and colored him with copics. This is such a sweet image! I paired him with some We R Memory Keepers dp from the Grandmas kitchen line. I liked it when I paired it with the fox but now looking at it the card looks fallish to me which is why I havent posted it yet!LOL! What do you think? I also used my PTI large scallop border die on this card. Love it! I kept the embellishments simple as usual and just added some silver pearls and PTI fine linen ribbon. Okay thats its for me today..another short and sweet but Monday has kicked my tail! Have a great one!

Today I wanted to share a card with you I made a couple of weeks ago while my Mom and I got together to stamp. I love this sentiment from SU and I thought it would be cute to pair it with Sassy Studios Cinderella image. I had so much fun coloring this image!! Who doesnt love Cinderella?!LOL! I used some pretty MME glitter dp. I cant remember the name of it I think its called At Home (thats the disadvantage of splitting all my dp with Mom b/c she always cheats and keeps the pack with the name on it!LOL!). I also did some stitching on this one! Yay me! Although I did cover up a couple of places with some embellishments. Those *may* have been places where the stitching was messed up!LOL! I do LOVE how this turned out though. I added some sparkle to Cinderellas dress because she HAS to have some sparkle I mean come on...shes Cinderella!LOL! Have a great one!

Rainy Day Honey

I thought this card was appropriate for today since we had a rainy day today and will have another tomorrow. I have been wanting to use my PTI simply chartreuse cs and ribbon so I paired it with some blue cs from American Crafts tropical collection. Its very similar to SU tempting turquiose so I stamped the sentiment in TT ink. No dp used here! Just some embossing and look at all that white!! I added some raindrops to the image and sprinkled some dazzling diamonds glitter on it and it ended up looking more like snow than rain!LOL! I didnt write down the colors on this one! Sorry! I colored this Honey image about a month ago. I think shes super cute! Hope you have a dry day tomorrow and if not...remember to play in the puddles!LOL!

Sweet Anya sketch

Okay Im going ahead and warning you...I've been on a TGF kick...and MME. So you can expect to see more TGF images paired with MME dp!LOL!
I've been wanting to play along with the Club Anya Saturday sketch since Jen started doing them but havent had time and I finally got a chance today! Yayy for 3 day weekends!LOL!

I used Sweet Anya and colored her to match the Quite Contrary dp. I love that this sketch gave me a chance to use this Pebbles flower I've had for about 3 yrs now. I dont even know why I bought it other than I liked the color b/c I can never find a way to use these big flowers. I also did something different with the bling. I dont know I was just in the mood for something different. Im still not sure how I feel about this card but my daughter loves it and its for her to give to her bff for her bday so as long as she likes it....!LOL! OH and I used 4 different patterns of dp on this one! I dont think I've ever done that either!LOL! I love pretty dp but I have a hard time using more than 2 patterns on a card. Okay Im through babbling for today! Have a great one!

FS Oh Boy Ian

Im so thankful for this 3 day weekend and the sunshine!! My kids spent 3 hrs outside yesterday playing which means I got 3 hrs of guilt free stamp time! Woo hoo!LOL!!

I also got a chance to play along with todays featured stamper challenge and go figure the gallery has been down all day!LOL!

Todays SCS featured stamper is Tracy. I cased Tracy's card here. I need a Thank You card for one of my students and thought this Oh Boy Ian image was perfect. I loved the simple layout of Tracys card so I kept the layout but added some dp and used a library clip instead of a paper clip. I used MME dp again. I've been going through my stash since me and my Mom just placed another big order of dp!LOL! When I have new dp coming in then I dont have to hoard anymore!LOL! Enjoy your day!

Stamping Honey

Im back today with a little bit more Honey for you!LOL! This is stamping Honey. She is ready for some craftyness!LOL! I paired Honey with some dp I got from Die Cuts r us which is now Claudia and Company. Its one of their 6x6 sample packs and I *think* its from the MME Quite Contrary line. I love the design though b/c it gave me a chance to use my Martha Stewart border punch that I havent used in awhile.

Its release Day at All that scraps! This is my fave card from this release. LOVE Pirate Honey! I colored her to match the Basic Grey Eerie dp. I saw a card awhile back using a pirate image and this dp and jotted it down but cant remember where I got it from. The sentiment I used is from TGF Pirate Anya and Ian set.

My second card is Hairdresser Honey. I paired her with some MME Quite Contrary dp. I love her green hairdryer!LOL! I made this card as a Thank You for my hairdresser who just put in some fabulous highlights for me which btw made one of my PreK students ask me if I painted my hair when we came back from Christmas holidays!LOL!

Wow its been so long since I posted I actually dont know how to start this post!LOL!! So we'll just jump right into it. Todays Stamp Something challenge is Anything goes. Our sponsor is Whimsy Stamps and I was so excited b/c I've had this Maya blowing bubbles image since it was released and I finally got it colored. She just looks so sweet and after seeing Crissy color her up I had to have her b/c she reminded me of my niece. Since Crissy is a shading/coloring expert I used her card as my inspiration while coloring Maya. I actually colored this image up with no dp in my just my niece's fave colors. I kept the layout super simple just adding a sentiment stamped on the dp, some ribbon, and bling. I did also add some stickles to the bubbles and bubble jar. Show us your glitter! Today at Stamp Something our challenge is glitter. I picked up this DCWV Linen closet glitter mat stack on a recent shopping trip with my Mom so I knew I had to use it. I love the soft muted colors in it which is very different for me. I usually like the bold bright colored dp. Since I was such a slacker with my Christmas cards (I didnt send out any!) I decided to go ahead and get a head start on Valentine cards. I used Stella from TGF and colored her with copics. I chose this weeks SCS sketch challenge for my layout and stamped a sentiment from a Kim Hughes set on the horizontal panel with some pearls I colored with e43 copic. I also used some primas and flower centers I picked up. I was so excited since I usually never find any good embellishments at our local stores! Its Digi Day at Stamp Something! I love digi day!LOL! This week I got to play with Whimsy Stamps and I was so excited. I love Crissys stamps so I played with this Warm Winter Wishes image. Arent those penguins and polar bear adorable?! They were so fun to color! I used some retired SU wintergreen dp. My fave to use for wintry cards. I love the colors in it. The sentiment is from MFT Baby its cold outside. Ive been trying to play around with some layouts instead of always using sketch challenges!LOL! I just love sketch challenges though. Of course my image is colored with my copics and I added some polar white flower soft under their feet (thanks for the flower soft Mama!). I love this stuff for snow! So fun! Honey with puppy

I had this card scheduled to post yesterday along with details about the card and I guess its lost in blog land somewhere!LOL!

I used Honey with puppy digi image on this card. Honey w/puppy along with 2 other Honey images will be available from ATS on Dec. 10. If you havent joined us in the blog hop see the post below for details. I paired this sweet image with some Cosmo Cricket Fly a kite dp. I used an old sfytt for this weeks challenge. I love this layout. I added some faux stitching and sponging to the papers. I also used some ribbon from my stash that has been sitting for a LONG time! I think I got it from Ribbons and bows oh my but it was a perfect match for this dp.

Im so very behind (AGAIN!) on visiting blogs but I plan to get around to your blogs this weekend. I have 2 Christmas parties this week and we had McTeacher night at McDonalds on Tuesday so its just been a week where I'm home long enough to sleep!LOL! Have a good one!

A Honey Blog Hop

Welcome to our first Digi Honey bloghop. You should have hopped here from Mandi's blog but if you didnt you can hop back to the All that scraps blog and start from there. I know Mandi wowed you with her beautifully colored creation.

We are showcasing 3 new CC Designs Honey's Digistamps created by Christine Wooden. And because it is our last Honey Digistamp Release for 2010 we wanted to make it a special one so a few of our digi dt mentioned a bloghop and here it is We like to please you all hahahaa. So on this hop you will get to know Honey with umbrella, Honey with Turtle and Honey with Puppy. The new Honey stamps will be released on December 10th at 12.00 PM est. This is also the time that our bloghop ends so make sure you leave us all a comment on our blogs as we will pick 3 winners who will receive her/his favorite Honey of this new digistamp release. Okay now onto the card!LOL! I used Honey with turtle. She is my fave of this release. Just look at that adorable turtle and Im lovin Honeys longer hair on this image. I colored Honey with copics (listed below) to match the BG Origins dp. I love the bright yellows and greens mixed with the black and brown in this set of dp. I thought it was perfect to pair with this Honey image. I used SCS sketch challenge from last Wednesday for my layout. I even got to use my new lacey square nesties on my image and I pulled out my flower nesties since I didnt have a prima in the colors I needed. I also sponged some SU yoyo yellow around the nestie. Now its time to hop on over to Shelby and be blown away by her fantastic creation. Happy Hoppin!

I only wanna be wanted by you

You know how you start a card and then you look at the end result and think...okay how did I get there!?LOL! So today Im gonna steal a line from one of my fellow stampers...heres my story.. (hugs Cindy!) and warning this is going to be a long post!LOL!

Its challenge time at Kenny K for team B so I started out with this image b/c it was fave from Kenny K's new images just released last week. Shes a cowgirl so of course Im going to color mostly browns b/c our challenge this week was monochromatic. Well as I got everything colored I couldnt figure out another brown color I wanted to use for her top so I decided to give it just a pop of color and stick with mono for the card base. Okay so image is colored so I went looking for a some choc chip dp designs and came across this retired dp from SU. I dont remeber what the name of it was (maybe outlaw) but its the dp that matches the Wanted stamp set so of course now the wheels are turning and I go pull out that set. Now at this point a song keeps playing over and over in my head and its a song by a girl named Jessie James (LMBO!). This song actually used to be my ringtone when my hubby called. So b/c of that then I start making this card for him for a little fun. Since I know now this is for my hubby I started distressing some layers and embossed one of the layers with distressed stripes ef (note: dont distress then run it thru cuttlebug b/c then your dp is VERY easily torn b/c your distressed edges get flattened out in the cuttlebug so emboss first distress 2nd!LOL!) I stamped the medallion from the Wanted set onto the cs tone on tone then embossed it using the stars folder. So by now I've got all the dp layers attached and I have my ribbon and button on. When I put my image against the card it still needs something so I grab the wanted sentiment and hope it fits...good enough so I stamped it off twice and then onto the image. Great!! Now at this point I drop the stamp and have a brown smudge at the top of my dp so now we have stars there and I added one at the bottom just for a little balance. I decided then she had to have some bling so I added some rhinestones to the stars and the twine. Done! Yayy!! Now the reason for my story is this....I took pic of my card done the editing all that fun stuff and so proud of how my card turned out go to load into challenge forum for KK only to realize that ummmm....it was supposed to be a monochromatic CHRISTMAS card!!LOL!! Those blond roots must sure be deep!LOL!! So I hope you enjoyed my monochromatic NON Christmas card! A Cheeky Christmas with Stamp Something

Todays Stamp Something challenge is holidays colors. I used traditional Christmas colors on this card. I had this scrap of dp from last year and I paired it with my new Cheeky Christmas girl from The Greeting Farm. Of course Cheeky girl is colored with copics and I love playing around with new combos to get me out of my usual color combos like for reds I tend to always grab r24, 27, and 29. For this red combo I tried out r37, r46, r59, and a tad of c5 for the shadows. I really like how it turned out and it really matches the red in the dp better than this photo is showing!LOL! My e000 marker also ran out so I had to start using some other skin tones colors until my refill came in the mail so for this girl I tried more of a pink complexion using r000, r00, e11, and e13 and rv32 for blush. I used e40, e41, e42, and e43 for all the white areas using dots for a little texture. I also added some SU dazzling diamonds for a little sparkle. For her hair I used e31, 33, 35, 57, and 59. Cutie Tag

Today brings another Kenny K challenge. This week we are playing with tags. I decided to actually make a tag instead of just using a tag on my card. I have never made just a tag and I had alot of fun making this one. I even used a jumbo eyelet and I havent pulled those out in forever. I used nesties labels 14 for the top of my tag for a little something extra instead of just the normal looking tag. I used Queens Cutie from the Glam Gang and added some of the Christmas accessory images (the present and the hat) to make her a Christmas image. I love this set b/c with it you can make any of the KK images work for holiday cards or in this case tags!LOL! You gotta love any way to get more out of your stamps and you can even use the present for a bday card instead of Christmas. I colored Queens Cutie and the present up to match the Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly dp. Since I wanted some dimension on this I popped her up on the present. I also added some SU felt snowflakes and SU wild wasabi ribbon. I hope this has inspired you to make some tags and then come join the KK Krafty Girlz on the challenge blog here.

For my thankful card I used a new release image from CC designs Honey scarf (available today at ATS). As soon as I saw this image and her polka dot scarf the BG Green at heart dp popped into my head and I just had to use it with her. Honey is colored with copics and I added some fun grass and flowers. The sentiment is a retired set from SU Riveting I just covered the image with the button. When I showed the card to my hubby he said "Baby that doesnt look like a Thanksgiving card...wheres the turkey?!"LOL!! Well duh....I didnt say it WAS a Thanksgiving card!LOL!! Cool Sweetie Pie

Its that time of month again when Honey comes out to play! This month she is a Cool Honey. I paired her with some BG Urban Prarie dp that I thought matched this cool girl!LOL! Since she is such a cool girl I had to give her some sparkle so shes sportin a sparkling shirt and hairbow. I used Mercys sketch for my layout but I had to leave off the ribbon since I dug ALL through my stash and found zip to match this dp! SO I decided to add a small strip of the pink dp with some faux stitching and a button. The sentiment I used is from a Kim Hughes set (I think birds and the bees) but I just thought it fit this Honey pie (tee hee). BTW Im so glad to be back stamping b/c I was a SICK girl!! UGGHH! I mean sicker than I have EVER been in my life!! Those PreK babies have been giving me some icky germs b/c last Monday I had bronchitis and was just starting to get over that when Friday I got a BAD stomach virus that didnt leave until yesterday. I could not even hold my head up for 2 days without getting sick and my hubby was just about ready to take me to the ER so it was NO fun! Im actually starting to feel like a normal person again(well...as normal as I usually am!LOL!). Have a great day!

Passing the torch

The time has come....I have had a blast playing with Amber Ink this past month and sadly its time to pass my torch. Pam and Amber are a hoot and I have throughly enjoyed my time as a torchbearer with them(thanks for not booting me off the island girls!LOL!). Im super excited to pass my torch to KERRI!!!! Kerri's cards always caught my eye on the SCS challenges and she always makes the sweetest comments and then I found her blog when she was guest DT for ATS and I've been following her blog since (and seriously Im such a goof b/c I was following her blog for a couple of months before I put her blog and SCS gallery together then the light finally came on!LOL!Sorry Kerri!!). Yall all know I love me some cute and Kerri has such a cute style with some great coloring skills and I cant wait to see what she comes up with during her time as a torchbearer! Skating Sparkle and Spots

Todays Kenny K challenge is an easy one for me. Sparkle and spots. I pulled out my MME glitter Christmas stack and paired it with this fun scene my Mama and I came up with. Mama was over here playing and we were messing around with Gimp and we had the idea to pair this fun skater girl image (last months freebie image) with the gift boxes so it looked like she was skating and knocked over the boxes. I love how it turned out! The image is colored with copics and I sponged some SU soft sky around the edges. I added some shine with my sakura clear glaze pen to her eyes and lips then I went over her earrings, bracelets, and zipper on her jacket with the sakura silver pen. I used this weeks Friday sketchers for my layout. It was a great layout to get me out of my CAS kick. I added some bling and pearls for some added sparkle. I had to color him a chocolate color b/c of course a dog named Hershey would be a chocolate colored dog right?!LOL! I colored him all up in Christmas colors and paired him with some cute plaid Christmas dp from my stash. Im not positive where this paper came from but I think it came from a MME Christmas stack from HL. The plaid dp and kraft cs just seemed perfect to pair with this cutie. Two days in a row I've been able to play in the challenges! WOO HOO!LOL!! I played in todays sketch challenge with this super cute image from Pink Cat Studios. I used one of the SU impression plates on the cherry cobbler layer and if anyone knows a trick to getting a good impression from these I would love to know it! You can see it a little IRL but you cant tell it in the photo at all. I used some baja breeze prints and some pearls from a recollections set from Michaels along with some PTI orange zest ribbon.

Hansel with Pumpkins Throwdown

Today I have a card for you thats a little less CAS. I still didnt use any dp on this one though. Im going to break out the dp again this since I think its pouting!LOL!

Hansel with pumpkins is an image from CC designs I just had to use before I finished up my fall cards. Hes just too cute! The color throwdown colors (kraft, tangerine tango, marina mist, and riding hood red) were perfect for this fall card too and since I hadnt used Marina mist yet it was a plus. I think I've now used all my new SU colors except the blushing bride. Since the color combo had kraft in it it also fits for this weeks Anyone for Anya kraft challenge. I used the Sweet shops sketch for my layout and I do love this layout! I embossed the riding hood red panel with the distressed striped ef and went over it with distress ink for a barn look which I thought went good with Hansel and the pumpkins. I even pulled out some SU stamps!! I used the circle of friendship set for my sentiment. Brayden has had a student teacher in his class since the first day of school and next week she finishes up her student teaching so this will be the card he gives to her on her last day. Am I the only one who gets on stamping kicks? Right now Im still on my CAS kick and I've been playing in some color challenges lately which I usually dont do b/c I usually just pull out some dp I want to pair with an image and use the colors from it. Most of my newer SU cs has been sitting b/c of that (since I only bought cs and not dp) so I decided to go in search of some color combos using them. For this card I used this weeks Color Q challenge. The challenge this week is to use cherry cobbler, cajun craze, more mustard, and taken w/teal or bermuda bay. So the first thing I have to do when doing a color challenge is pull out a sheet of every color and put them together. Then I try to decide where Im going to use the colors on my image so theres a balance of the colors and I use every colors at least once on the image. I used Sassy Suzi from TGF on this card. Shes just too cute and I love coloring her hair. I used this weeks Mojo sketch for my layout and I couldnt work the cajun craze cs in anywhere with this layout so its just in the image. I even pulled out some of my SU pallette of prints for this one (I have a ton of it!!)! Im so proud of me!LOL!! I do love these colors together!

Well my plans to stamp this week got put to a halt! I started feeling a little under the weather Tuesday night and then started running a fever. I'm still not feeling 100% but I did manage to play in some challenges today. I cased Jazzytobi's card here for todays featured stamper challenge. I changed the image to Amber Ink's new More 2 love girl. The sentiment I used is from PTI. I thought it was perfect to pair with this girl. I changed the colors to this weeks SCS colors. I havent used espresso or cajun craze yet and I think these colors are great together! I used lots of different browns on this card for Copic creations brown challenge. I love making long cards and haven't made one in awhile so I had to make this one a long card like Tobi's. The card measures 3 1/2 x 6.

Its Sunday so that means the KKKG have come out to play today. This week is Team A's challenge and its to make anything but a square card. Now that October is finally over with I hope to be back to posting regularly again and not just DT stuff!LOL! I LOVE being on the DTs Im on but sometimes I wanna stamp just to stamp. KWIM?! Now even though this is one of Kenny K's images and Im on that DT I have been wanting to make this card for awhile now. I flipped when Kenny released these Rock Squad images. This image reminds me sooo much of my hubby that I had to use it and since his band played a big Halloween party Friday night I figured it was the perfect time to give him a "you rock" card!LOL! Of course the image is colored with copics to look like my hubby and I colored the drum kit like his. I also added his band logo to the drum head and he flipped when he saw that!LOL! I didnt want a busy card so I just added some faux stitching and some mini gold brads to the image. I still seem to be on a CAS kick but I had so much fun coloring this image I didnt want the card to be busy especially since I was giving it to my hubby. When I think of masculine cards I usually think CAS. I dont have alot of pics of him in the band but I found this one I took one night at practice and this pic is from Friday night. Blacklights and cellphones dont mix so its a terrible pic but I thought I would share it anyway. Danny couldnt play with his Papa Smurf costume on but it was too funny when he did have it on and Ricky the singer is a hippie. Matt is on guitar and he came out of his costume too!LOL! I didnt get Brandon on bass in the pic but he was Hannibal and he looked freaky!LOL! Have a good night!

These images range from the nerdy boys to the blinged out guys to super heros. I used one of the super hero images for my card and paired him with the BG Wander dp. My poor desk has been missing me...I would feel it call out to me every time I walked by it this week!LOL!! I finally had a chance to sit down and put together this card tonight. Todays Stamp something challenge is Stamped something (clear or rubber stamps). I used Amber Inks new set that Im just lovin Hostess with the Mostess. This new set from Amber Ink is available NOW in clear stamp or digi stamp!! I love how you can add all the accessories to her tray to make this such a versatile set! I decided to go with Thanksgiving for this card with her. I used some BG Indian Summer dp and the sentiment is from SU. I started out using this weeks SCS sc for my layout but then realized I left off a panel but I still love how it turned out. Sorry the pic isnt great we've had some rain so I pulled out my photo tent and remembered why I havent been using it..my nephew broke one of my bulbs.

Angel Honey

Well its seems all my amusement in my previous post about Ski Bunny Honey was all for nothing!LOL! I got the name wrong her name its Skier Honey...just thought I'd let you know that!LOL!

Today as promised I have Angel Honey to share with you. She is a cutie too. I used a couple of SCS challenges on this one. I dont get to play in the SCS challenges like I used to so I was glad to get a chance. I used this weeks color challenge-old olive, concord grape, and cherry cobbler. I love these colors together and couldnt resist using that concord grape again. I also the SCS sketch challenge for this week. Since I made my other two Honey cards on the simpler side I decided to still go with that but this time I went old skool on this card and made my own dp. I decided to go with a hear theme since she has the heart on her shirt so I stamped the heart onto old olive tone on tone and used my copic r59 marker to make the dots. I also embossed the cherry cobbler layer with the hearts ef. I did use nesties on this one but did no sponging. I added some sakura gold to her halo and stardust stickles to her wings. I also gave her eyes, lips, and the heart on the shirt so shine with my sakura clear glaze pen. All the new Honeys are available now at All that scraps. Its FRIDAY and its a stamp something kinda day. This week we want to see your digis! So print them out and come play along with us. This week or last week I used a witch image from Sassy Studio and while I was browsing through their site I came across their Fairy tales images and fell in love so you will defintely be seeing more of these!!LOL! But first up is Goldilocks and she is sooo adorable!! I LOVE that hair and it was so fun to color even though just the hair took me about an hour!LOL! I printed her up as Amy would say big head size and colored her up with my copics. I used this weeks Mojo sketch for my layout. The layout was perfect for the big head panel!LOL! Since I was using a Goldilocks image I thought the MME Quite Contrary dp would be perfect!LOL! I think the pieces I used are from the Little Miss Muffet line. The just right sentiment is computer generated and I wish I would have made the font a little bigger.

New Honeys

I told yall I had a busy week!LOL! Im back today with two super cute new digis from CC designs. Meet Cheerleader Honey and Ski Bunny Honey (hey that rhymes!LOL! Im so easily amused sometimes!LOL!) Both of these images along with Angel Honey will be available Friday from All that scraps. On my first card I've used ski bunny Honey(teehee..still laughing at that one) and I've paired her with BG Eskimo kisses dp.

I was in the mood for a simple card so I used one of my fave layouts and left off the nesties. I did add some razzleberry polka dot ribbon along with a felt snowflake for just a little something extra. I also added some white sparkly fluff that I got from Eclectic Paperie for snow under her feet but it is hard to see in the pic. Doesnt she just look ready to hit the slopes?!

For my second card I went MUCH simpler. Im telling you this is as CAS as I can get!LOL! I really wanted to keep the layout simple no fuss with dp or nesties and I actually LOVE how this turned out!! I colored her up with our school colors and even added at TC for Tift County Blue Devils on her sweater. I had so much fun coloring up this little cutie that I wanted her to let her shine on the card. I added some stardust stickles to her pom poms and bling in the corners. The blue cs I used is from Coredinations and I have to say I just love how it pops with the white! I know my Mom will LOVE this since i used her very favorite color combo! Shes a true blue devil!LOL! I really wanted to add some blue horns to her head like a headband...Wheres Amy with all her altering of images talent when I need her?!LOL! I found this blue copic combo on someones website and I LOVE it and I had the website and the copics I used for both images written down and I cant find it anywhere! (If you find it Mama let me know b/c I was at your house when we colored these). Okay I have to admit...Im so not good under pressure. Im such a dunce and realized late Monday night I was supposed to have a card for today using this fabulous new set from Amber Ink. So I got busy Monday coloring up this image (well thats the easy part for me!) Im telling you if I was a stamp this More 2 love girl would be me!! I love it! So I used me as inspiration and colored her up just like me she even has a purple blackberry in her hand that I can be seen on several occasions with!LOL! Dont you love her sparkling pink and brown polka dot bag?! I have one just like it!LOL! So back to my under pressure story...I came home Tuesday after I went back to work (not quite ready yet from our Fall break) and found Mercys sketch and decided to use it for my layout. Well apparently that was easier said than done!LOL! I took this card apart 3xs! I dont know what was wrong with me!LOL!! I finally got it to where I was satisfied with it (or at least I knew if I took it apart again I was gonna have to start all over!LOL!). I know we all have days like this. Maybe it was going back to work today that threw off my Mojo so that definitely means I should call in tomorrow and stay home and stamp all day right?!LOL!! Charmaine is such a sweetie and she is one of the first people from SCS I ever received a RAK from...well she asked me if she could pass the torch to me from Amber Ink. Of course I said YES!! I think its wonderful how Amber and Pam let their DT pass along the torch and Im already excited thinking about who I will pass the torch too...but until then Im going to enjoy playing with their images!! I have enjoyed my fall break and Im so not ready to go back to work tomorrow!! Over the weekend I had a chance to make a card just because so I went looking through some challenges and saw Jens sfytt. I LOVED Amy Sheffer's take on the sketch and since I have the nesties and havent used them yet I just HAD to case her take on the sketch. I colored up this witch image from Sassy Studio. Love her!! I used the colors from this weeks Color Q challenge to color her up. I have to say I am lovin concord grape for Halloween cards and cant believe this is the first card I've used it on! The ribbon is super yummy too! I also used a mix of some retired SU halloween dps. The small bats are from a border punch from EK success.

...I mean mitten weather!LOL!! Today brings a new challenge from the Krafty Girlz at Kenny K and this week its a sketch from Donna. Yayy! I bet you didnt know I LOVE sketches!LOL! I did have to tweak the sketch a bit b/c I couldnt wait to color up Mrs Claus for this sketch. I mean come on!! She would melt any ice around!LOL!! Mrs Claus was released last week along with several other fabulous images from Kenny including an accesory set so you can turn in of your fave Kenny K images into Christmas images! Gotta love that!!
I resisted coloring her in the traditional red so I went looking through my dp for some inspiration and found this Cosmo Cricket mitten weather dp. I think she is rocking the purple outfit. I added LOTs of sparkle and shine to her too. For her eyes, boots, the bells and her lips I used my very much loved Sakura clear glaze pen. I added frosted lace stickles to all the white parts of her suit and hat. I added sakura gold to her belt and the bells. Then I added some Martha Stewart snow glitter to the ground and snowflakes. Stamp Something Halloweeney

Its Friday!! Which means another Stamp Something challenge..just another reason to love Fridays! This weeks challenge is Halloween. I pulled out CC designs Halloween Brigitta and played with her for the challenge. Isnt she cute?! Love the spiderwebs on her hat and dress. Ive been spider crazy this Halloween for some reason!LOL! I used Anyone for Anyas color challenge of purple, silver (gray) and white to color up Brigitta and I also added in some olive green for her hair for some two toned hair. I used a lighter shade of purple (Coredinations cs) than I would normally use for Halloween colors but I like how it turned out with the black and silver. The spider web dp is from Echo Park. I used Jenns sfytt for my layout.For the Glitterbabes challenge I added silver stickles to the lines of the embossed spider web. I also added some my sakura clear glaze pen to go over the punched spider, her eyes, her wings, and the spider and web from her hat. I really dont know how I ever lived without this pen!LOL!! I went over the spider webs lines on her hat with the sakura silver pen-another must have for me. Lots of sparkle and shine on this cutie! Now go check out the other Halloween creations here.

Get a Hobby

Well I was a bartender for about 10 years and now Im a guest bar-tender!LOL! Today I get to play along with the bartenders at Raise the Bar challenge. The challenge today is get a hobby. I just had to use this adorable Susie with pie image from Stamping Bazaar. I know I say this often but I just love when a card just comes together so easily. I went looking through my stamps and digi images looking for a hobby image and found this image and remebered there was a sheet of dp from the Recollections fall stack with pie on it. I dont know what Im going to do when I run out of this dp!! Its hard to see in the pic but the dp has "my oh my I love pie" on it!LOL! I used the sweet Sunday sketch for my layout. The layout was perfect for the large image. I even found some Recollections fall pearls in my stash that matched the dp. I sponged all the edges of the dp and around the image while it was still in the nesties with Antique linen. Check out the bartenders and other guest bartenders creations here. Hello all! Im just poppin by today. We just got home from church and the movies. We went to see Legends of the Guardians and I dont think my kids blinked throughout the entire movie!LOL! Witch Honey

Sorry its been so quiet here on my blog this week! We've had Internet issues this week. Im so glad everything got straightened out in time for me to show us this adorable new image from All That Scraps. Meet Witch Honey available TODAY! You can check out more DT samples here. Honey is also pulling double duty today because its Friday and that means another Stamp Something challenge! This week we are getting punchy! This weeks Mojo sketch was perfect for me to pull out one of my EK Success border punches! You can check out the other SS punchy cards here. Keeping with my promise to myself about playing in more challenges Im also entering this card in The Pink Elephant childhood challenge. I added LOTS of sparkle and shine for the Spoonful of Sugar challenge.

Okay now onto deets about the card. I colored Honey with copics and added some polka dots to her witch hat and skirt using my black copics marker. I added some copper stickles to her hair. My Sister and I ALWAYS had to add glitter to our hair whatever our costume was!LOL! And good grief does that stuff ever stink!LOL! I went over her eyes, lips, the spider and web, and the cats eyes and nose with the Sakura clear glaze pen(dont know how I ever lived without this!LOL!) I also stamped the polka dot background on the button with versamark and embossed with glitter ep since I didnt have a button to match. The dp I used is from MME its another 6x6 sample pack from Die cuts r us.

Hello! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend b/c I did! I had a blast with my daughter and her friends on a Girls Inc. field trip Saturday (a Disney on Ice Princess wishes show) and yesterday we had a nice relaxing day... AND I got a chance to make a card.

I got this Basic Grey Pyrus dp in my happy mail from Die cuts r us and paired it with CC designs Fall Brigitta. I LOVE this pyrus dp but I will admit I had a hard time with the colors on it. Dont really know why I just did. I had so many markers out on my desk I couldnt begin to tell you what colors I used where..except for the hair. I do LOVEY how her hair turned out! Its a color combo from the wonderful Amys blog-yr21, yr12, yr15, and e99.

I used the Friday sketchers challenge for my layout. I added some sparkle to her wings for the Basic Grey sparkle challenge. This weeks Raise the Bar challenge is FALL. Flower, At least 2 ribbons, and Lots of Leaves. Finally this weeks Pile it on challenge is cute and charming and I think this image definetly fits that! 4 challenges! Woo hoo! Thats good for me!LOL! Im usually doing good to get in one but I do sooo miss playing in challenges so Im trying to get back to playing in them and 4 is a good number to start with. Now Im off to comment on all my blogging friends creations b/c yes I have been a slacker blogger friend again. Im hiding my face in shame over here!LOL! Have a good one!

Todays SS challenge is of course celebrate. I used this adorable Sweet and Sassy image Cocoas gift. Isnt he so cute peeking out the box?! I need to get started on my Christmas cards so I went with that but you can use the image for bdays also. I pulled out some retired SU dp that I only have a very few pieces left...GASP!! This is my FAVE SU holiday dp and I thought it went great with Cocoa. I also pulled out some of those snowflakes and added it to my button/bow treatment.

I colored up this image over the weekend while I was at my Moms house playing. She was perfect for todays sketch so I paired her with some Eerie dp and made a CAS card (for me!). I didnt use any nesties and didnt mat any of the dp. I added the spider and put some halloween pearls on him. I LOVE this image and HAD to have it!! I wanted to have a Halloween wedding and my Mom thought I was insane but I thought it would have been cute!! I mean the decorating would have been SO easy and fun. I love decorating for Halloween and Halloween cards are my fave to make! Anywho I was going to be dressed like Frankensteins bride and of course hubby would have been Frankenstein!LOL!

This new set of images from Kenny are called Cute Critterz. I used cute lion for my card and paired her with some MME Quite Contrary dp. I loved the flowers in the dp and used some circle punches to mimic the flowers. My oldest daughter had a fit over this card and has already taken it over!LOL! Im batty for Marvin!LOL!! Isnt he just the cutest!?! I had SO much fun coloring him up and even got to use my SU vintage violet cs. I LOVE Halloween b/c its the only time of year I can use it. I also used some Pebbles inc dp from 2 yrs ago I think. I started using this weeks Saturday sketch but my image was too big so I had to go another direction. (How many posts do I say that in?!LOL!) I know the goop or whatever that punch is called is supposed to going down but I wanted to use it and the only way I could make it work was for it to be going up.

Todays featured stamper is Kristen! I had alot of fun browsing her gallery and found this Spooktacular card to case. I kept the colors and used the new Hallo witch image from The Greeting Farm. I also changed the layout to this weeks Saturday sketch from Club Anya. The witch was so fun to color up and of course she is colored with copics! I used some recollections dp from last year that I got at Michaels. I also added some ribbon I won from Jacksonbelle embellishments. I used the EK Success bat border punch and SU scallop border punch. I cut the witch out the nestie and had a little boo boo so I used some bat punches to cover it!LOL! Have a good one!

It feels like its been forever since I made a Kenny K card. Our challenge today is stitching it can be machine, hand, or faux stitching. Since I dont have a sewing machine I added faux stitching...alot of it!LOL! I had a friend of mine come up to me last week and ask me to make a card for her daughter. She wanted LOTS of white, polka dots, flowers, and a sassy rock image. Okay so most of that I can handle. Kenny K's rock chick image is the first thing that popped into my head but...LOTS of white?! Uh HELLOOOO do you not KNOW ME?!!LOL!! I just got this polka dots ef and loved how it matched the size of the polka dots in the MME Quite Contrary dp. Of course I colored Rock chick with copics (listed below) and added some sparkle and shine using sakura clear glaze for her lips, shoes, and earrings, and I went over the guitar strings with the silver pen. I know Im killin yall with all these CC designs images this week!LOL!! Have I said before how much I ADORE these super cute images?!LOL!! After I made my witch Emma card I had to show Trevor some love too! I knew I wanted to give this weeks Sketch Saturday a try so I used Mummy Trevor from last years Halloween release. I paired Trevor with some MME spiders web dp and embossed the dot and black panels with the spider web ef. I also used a quickutz button punched out in the dot design and popped it up with dimensionals. I really love this dp for a masculine Halloween card so I didnt want to add any girly elements to it. I used some twill ribbon sponged with antique linen to "dirty" it up some and also sponged the edges of the dp and main image. I also used my cutter kit to distress the edges of the dp. Eerie Witch Case

I wanted to stamp this morning so I went challenge surfing!LOL! I cased this card from todays featured stamper. I was inspired by the framing so I used it on my card and changed the layout to the Sunday sketch. I also used the BG eerie dp for the Stamp something spots and stripes challenge. Emma is colored using copics and I added some black rhinestones but kept off any other embellishments since the card was so busy from the dp!LOL!

Meet Spindle Mossyrock

She is a new fairy from the wonderful Amy who creates the fun Sweet November stamps. The digi dt are playing with these fun stamps this month over at ATS. I paired Spindle with some MME so savy dp. I thought the colors in it were perfect for her! I love that there are fallish colors in the dp. I colored Spindle with copics and cut her out with the curved rectangle nesties and sponged some antique linen around her while it was still in the die. I also used one of the labels dies for the purple flowered dp panels and I covered most of it up with the large image but there is also a scalloped panel under the image. No bows on this card just a strip of the wide so saffron ribbon and a couple of quickutz flowers cut from the dp. I had to use these flowers b/c they reminded me of the flowers in the purple dp. This layout was a little different for me but it was one of those cards that just took on a life of its own!LOL! Check out the other fabulous dt samples here. Spindle and a couple of her friends will be released on Monday Sept 13.

Bloom and Grow Pippi

I dont know about yall but Im so ready for fall. We had some nice cooler temps this past weekend and it was so nice. I keep thinking if I make fall cards it will hurry it along!LOL!

Whatever the season or event I always pull out those stamps and have them in reach so they get used. So this weekend I pulled out all my fall and halloween stamps to start using them and I had to use one of my faves from last year. This swiss pixie image is sooo cute to me!! I paired her with some MME bloom and grow dp which isnt exactly fall dp but I just love the colors in it which to me are somewhat fall colors. I actually had Pippi colored first and just tried to match her up with some of my dp. I also actually got a chance to play along with the Mojo sketch which I havent been able to do in awhile. This was a fun layout and I cant tell you how long its been since I used my SU tag punches!LOL! I stamped the swirl from Baroque motifs onto the Kraft card with soft sky and stamped the happy hello sentiment over it. I did forget to write down the colors on this one but if you need to know just leave me a comment and I will see if I can figure out what colors I used. Have a great day!

This weeks Kenny K challenge is to use pearls and swirls. I used Lady Raven and paired her with BG Junebug dp. I used a sketch challenge from somewhere but cant remeber who now since I made this last week and forgot to write it down. Of course Lady Raven is colored with copics and I added some sakura clear glaze to her lips and tattoos. The dp is sponged with antique linen and ran through the swirls ef. I had all my layers all ready put together minus the main image and realized I had no swirls on my card so I just ran it through and actually like it better!LOL! Okay so I have a confession to make.....the entire time I was making this card I kept singing that Weird Science song!LOL!! If you have no idea what Im talkin about it was a movie that came out in the 80's where 2 nerdy guys decide one night to make a girl. I know its been quiet this week on my blog again but I have something to share today...something spooky!LOL!! ATS is having another digi release this Friday with some spooky and cute Honey images. Gothic girl is up first. I wanted her to have some pasty purplish skin so I colored her skin using e000, v00, and v01. So after I gave her pasty purplish skin I had to give her some purple hair!LOL! I used v04, v06, v15, and v09 for her hair. Since I colored her hair and skin tone purple I figured I better start digging through my dp and see if I could find some dp to match before I finished coloring her!LOL! I found this dp from Recollections I got at Michaels last Halloween and it was perfect. I wanted the purple panel to have a little something extra so I used the skull accessory digi image and copy and pasted it to make my own dp. I also gave Goth girl a little batty friend b/c every goth girl needs a bat friend right?!LOL! Im back as promised today with my card I made for the FS challenge on SCS. Todays featured stamper is Princessheather and I HAD to play along! I cased Heathers card here. I kept the fabulous layout but changed everything else. I used Tangle Goblinshimmer from Sweet November Stamps (available at ATS) for my image. I love this fairy and thought I would color her in yellows and greens and matched her up with the Origins dp.

Back to School Emma

Its Frriiiddaayyyy!!LOL!! and its digi release day at ATS! I used school Emma on my card for today. I also used the pencil image for my strip that I just LOVE how it turned out (dont ask why!LOL! I just do!) This card is waayyy busier than my norm. It started as a layout from last weeks Friday sketchers and then just turned into something else....and that's ok when it still turns out good!LOL! I used the DCWV dp again with this card and some PTI poppy ribbon and blue buttons. The only thing Im not wild about is the sponging around my image. I used PTI new leaf since that's the cs I used and matches the dp but the ink is wayyy darker than the cs so note to self...DONT use new leaf ink for sponging!LOL! Okay if you cant already tell....Im super tired and silly since I've scheduled this post and am now running on pure exhaustion!LOL! Im ready for a restful weekend. Hope you have a good one!

Im so ready for fall!! I thought if I made a fall card it would help speed it along!LOL!! I decided to make this card for todays SCS versamark wt challenge. I used versamark in my fave way which is for backgrounds! I stamped the linen background onto old olive using versamark. I used some MME dp not sure the name since it was scraps and paired it with ATS Brigitta with sunflower image. I sponged all the edges with antique linen ink and distressed a few edges. The layout is from Jens sfytt and I even left off ribbon on this one....mainly b/c I just couldnt get it to work in anywhere I liked!LOL!

I tried out another new hair color combo and I LOVE it!! A great honey brown color! I used e97, e99, e37, and 39 (very very little). Other colors I used are
bg000, bg72, bg75, yr12, 15, and 16 for her shirt. Pants and flower center e43, 44, 47. Shoes and flower petals y21, 32, and 35. Stem and leaf yg93, 95, and 97. Thats it for me today! Have a great one!

My card today has my FAVE Sarah Kay image! I needed an anniversary card and I think this sweet image is perfect for an anniversary card especially paired with the fun heart dp in Olivia Basic Grey dp. I distressed all the edges and sponged them with SU sahara sand ink. I used todays SCS sketch challenge for my layout. I love this layout! So fun to work with! My card came together so easily today and I'm very happy about that. I needed it! This class this year is kickin my butt! Woooweeee!! Between the 20 (including a VERY active set of twins!) in my class and my 3 here at home Im a tired Mama at the end of the day!LOL!!...okay so back to the card...Of course the image is colored using my copics listed below and I sponged around my image using sahara sand ink while still in the label nestie. Have I said yet how cute this image is!?!LOL!! Denise (peanutbee) is the reason for my collection of Sarah Kay images she colors them sooo beautifully so I used her card here as my inspiration for coloring. Back to school

Its back to school time at ATS today! I used to love back to school time. New clothes and all the new school supplies like crayons and pencils!LOL!! I've used the apple and crayons image for my card and made a CAS card (for me!LOL!) here. I colored the image using copics and paired it with some DCWV dp. I added some sponging to the edges of the image using SU bashful blue ink. I also added some piercing for a little something extra. I finished off my card with a bubbly bow using PTI poppy ribbon and a PTI button. Check out the other digis that will be available on Friday the 20th here! When I think of bold and bright this BG Lime Rickey dp always comes to mind. I love the fun and funky colors and patterns in it. I paired the dp with Kennys Da Bomb image. This is my first time coloring her up. I just love her shoes! I used this weeks SCS sketch challenge for my layout. A great layout and I finally used my EK Success spiral punch. Last night I just wanted to sit down and color with no colors or sketch etc in mind. Just to sit down and color. I pulled out some of my neglected Sugar Nellie images. I have been so intimidated by this image!LOL!! I did have a blast coloring it last night and even got a WOW from my hubby. Im sorry but I didnt write down any colors b/c I wasnt sure if it was going to make it onto a card or not. This image is so large I just matted it on a kraft card base and added a Quickutz photo corner with pearls colored with copics. Well that's it for me today. Sorry for such a quick post but I am ready to put my feet up and relax!LOL!!

ETA: OMG! I cant believe I didnt know about the Elisabeth Bell DT call!! I love her images just like the one I used here! I was browsing through some blogs and seen where a friend of mine posted the badge on her blog and was soooo excited until I saw the deadline was only 1 hr away!! GASP!! Today is going to be a quickie post...I am tired!LOL!! Today was a rough one at the PreK. Hopefully by the end of this 1st week things will be alot better.

I made this card for yesterday's featured stamper challenge. Vicki was the featured stamper. I cased her card here. I was inspired by the colors but changed them to PTI colors hawaiian shores, spring moss, and berry sorbet. I also used kraft for my card base. I also kept Vickis layout and decided to go with no dp again on this one. For my main image I just had to use Starfish Emma. Isnt she a cutie?!? Love her! She is available now at ATS and they also have a new Sugarplums kits coming out!!! I colored Emma using the PTI copic trios for the colors of cs I used. For her hair I used e35, e57, e59 and e49. I used the cool grays for the rock and e40-e42 for the sand. I also used some images from Kim Hughes Ocean Friends for the waves and seaweed. Its Sunday so you know what that means....another Kenny K Challenge! Team A is up today with a "in the summertime" challenge. I could not resist playing since I've been dying to use this DCWV citrus stack dp and I thought it was perfect for this challenge. Im still playing with some of Kennys Gothik Angelz and colored Devlish Donna with copics. I've also been on a stickles kick lately!LOL!

Okay so a little info on this card...I started with Donnas hair and Im going to be honest w/you and tell you there are sooo many colors on here I cant even remeber what I used!LOL! I kept trying to get it just the way I wanted. She was so fun to color! I also got to use some new SU goodies. I used daffodil delight cs and ribbon on this card. After I had the card put together I thought it need something so I went back and added some paper piercing and lines to match the background in the dp. Its really hard to see in the pic but behind the flowers has line and dots and I TRIED to mimic that on the sides to give it a little something extra. I really wish I would have used yellow instead of red but I didnt have a daffodil marker! Sorry I dont have the copics listed if you would like to know the colors I can try to figure out what I used. Hello everyone! Sorry its been a quiet week on my blog. You may remember I started back to work this week so I've been busy with pre planning. Tomorrow is Open house and Friday is the first day of school for us. Cant believe my summer is already over! (POUT!!)

But good news is All that scraps has some super cute sneak peeks for you today! I've used Mermaid Emma on rocks. She is super sparkly.I was just in a sparkling kind of mood I guess!LOL!! I used 4 different stickles on this! I've been waiting for the perfect image to use b/c I was so inspired by this card from Pam and on a trip to our LSS I picked up some of this dp. I was so excited when I got Mermaid Emma b/c I knew she was perfect to use with this dp. Of course she is colored with copics and I used a sentiment from Amy R's summer sentiments. Okay onto the card now!! How HOT is she?!!LOL! My hubby asked me if I had an outfit like that when I showed in the card!LOL!! Meet Delores Dammage...and she looks like she could cause some major dammage!LOL!! This was so different for me but so fun!! I actually picked up this zebra print ribbon and dp on one of my shopping trips and have been waiting to use it. So not only is Delores on the dark side but she's a little WILD too!! I used some things on this card I havent used in forever...like my quickutz photo corners, SU markers and spritzer tool! I used my taken w/teal markers and spritzed the zebra print dp and the image. I added lots of stickles..silver stickles for her earrings, stardust stickles for hair, boots, and tattoo. I also used sakura clear glaze pen for her eyes, lips, and the black dots on her bra and skirt.

Mad Skillz with Pizzazz

I had alot of fun coloring this Kenny K image. She looks like my girls singing karokee on the Wii!LOL!!Betty asked me to make a sample for todays color challenge: Daffodil delight, pear pizzazz, and crushed concord. Of course I said YES!LOL! Since I dont have my SU order yet...fingers crossed for tomorrow! I had to improvise a little. I sponged the so saffron layer w/so saffron ink for a close daffodil delight. I stamped SU linen background on certainly celery w/versamark and sponged the edges w/versamark for a close match to pear pizzazz. For the concord crush I used Coredinations blue violet. I used Jens sfytt for my layout but changed the oval to a rectangle.

Hello! Sorry I've missed posting a couple of days this week but this is the last week my neice and nephew are staying here and I've been getting lots of love to last!LOL!!

Today is the Kenny K challenge and Team A is up today with a sketch...and you know me I cant pass up a good sketch!LOL!! I've used Movie Star and she is so cute!! She looks to me like she's got her arms out to give a big hug so I used a hug sentiment on the inside. I paired Movie Star with some MME Penny Lane dp. NO telling how long I've had this!LOL!! I only have this one sheet though and its textured so I prolly ordered it at ATS. This sketch also gave me a chance to pull out some much neglected SU Hodgepodge Hardware. Talk about dust!LOL!! I ran some polka dot ribbon I got from the $1 bin at Michaels and tied on some twine. Its hard to see in the pic but I put some bling on the knot of the twine. Well thats it for me today. Monday I get to go to our classroom and start unpacking everything I spent a week packing 2 months ago! So not ready for the summer to be over!!

I have a card to share with you today I made for a couple of Dare to get Dirty challenges over at SCS. I used some Nook and Pantry dp from BG and paired it with CC designs Cupcake Kiki. I have actually been hoarding this dp to pair with her and finally got a chance to get the card put together. I colored Kiki using copics and added some sponging around the nestie with Versamagic pixie dust ink.

Brayden is doing much better today. He actually wanted to eat something today besides pudding or ice cream so thats good. His mouth doesnt looks quite as gross today either!LOL! Im such a wimp about those kinds of things. Shhh Mama!LOL!! Tommorrow is the last day that my neice and nephew will be staying here so Im looking forward to my last week before I have to go back to work. I dont plan on leaving my desk!LOL!! Have a great day!

HG Classy Latte

Sorry I didnt have a chance to post yesterday. My son trying to be a monkey and a trip to the ER took over my stamping time. My children must have something against their mouths because they sure are rough on them. Madison busted her mouth open a little over a month ago jumping off the ladder in the pool and landed on Brayden as he was coming up. Not fun! Yesterday Brayden tried to swing from the counter to the kitchen island and landed face first. He knocked one of his teeth loose and his mouth looks sooo gross today!!

Okay so in all of that fun yesterday I really wanted to do the SCS color challenge. Regal rose is my fave pink so I had to play! As I was pulling out the cs I realized I only had a small strip of regal rose!GASP!! Oh no!! So I went through my pinks and found that PTI hibiscus burst is really close so I used that. Now I dont have the peach parfait cs yet but Betty was so sweet to send me a few suggestions on colors that would be close. She said if you use apricot appeal and sponge it with pumpkin pie it was a close match. She also sent me copics she used to color her flower I think she used yr01, r14, and r24. Well I dont have r14 or r24 so I had to start thinking....so what I did is use yr02, yr20 which is what I use for apricot appeal and yr16 which is what I use for pumpkin pie when coloring. I colored her dress using rv10, rv13, and rv14. For olive colors I used yg93, yg95, and yg97. I also added in some chocolate chip e44, e47, and e49. I wasnt in the mood to use any dp so I pulled out and dusted off some of my background stamps. On the hibiscus burst layer I stamped linen with regal rose ink and I stamped french script onto olive cs with choc chip ink. I used one of the dare to get dirty sketches for my layout. I know this little girl looks like shes ready for a tea party but I didnt have any tea sentiments so I pulled out an oldie stamp from Treehouse Friends and lattes. I think the font of the sentiment looks good with the french script background. That's it for me today! Hope you have a more uneventful day than I did yesterday!LOL!!

Gracie's Christmas Rose

Stop! I promise your at the right blog!LOL!! I know this is so totally different than my normal style but I was in the mood for something different. My Mom and I recently purchased some digis from a couple of the places Crissy designs for. This weeks challenge at Sunday with Crissy is Christmas in July. Now I will admit I probably cheated a tad on this one. Its very hard for me to get inspired to make a Christmas card with 100 degree weather!LOL! I knew I wanted to use this Gracie's roses image b/c it reminds me Christmas pictures we always get made for the kids so I went through some of my Christmas dp and came across this piece from BG wassail. Ive been wanting to try some monochromatic coloring and thought this sweet image was perfect for giving it a go. I used warm greys to color her and added some antique linen to the edges. I used another crocheted flower Anne was so sweet to send me and sponged it also w/the antique linen. I used Jens sfytt for my layout. Im really happy with how this turned out! See...never hurts to try something different!LOL! Have a good one!

Today is the second Kenny K challenge and Team B is up with a sketch. I love this layout and will be using it again and I hope you want to play along too! For my card I used Kenny's Download Diva image and colored her using copics. I paired her with some BG Lime Rickey dp. I love the yellow and greens in this. So fun and summery! I was inspired by Toris sentiment panels. I love how she airbrushes them but since I dont have the airbrush system I decided to do some sponging instead. I sponged yoyo yellow in the center and went around the outside with pti new leaf ink. I also used some Bazzill bitty blooms and SU 3 flower punch for my flowers. High Hopes Farmhouse

Ive had this Cosmo Cricket farmhouse dp for awhile now and have been wanting to pair it with some images from last years High hopes farm release. I finally got a chance to last night while everyone was sleeping...and I couldnt!! I had this card in my head so I decided to try to put it on paper. Didnt quite happen the way I pictured but here it is. I wont tell you how long I fooled with the buttons and circles!LOL!! Dont look too closely or you might see where I moved a button!LOL! I used Taylor's sketch. I love the sketch and wanted to use flowers but didnt have any that really matched so I used buttons instead. Note to self...need more flower punches, flower nesties, etc.! I know...surprise...surprise another Kenny K card!LOL!! Im sorry if you're tired of them but I just love coloring them!! I promise I do have something else to share tomorrow and then Sunday is the Kenny K challenge.

The image I used for this card is called Queens cutie and I just love the look on her face and I thought this sentiment from MFT just fit. I colored Cutie with copics and used my fave brunette combo e71, e74, e77, and e79. I used e000, e00, e11, and e13 for her skin. Rv42 for blush and lips. For her clothes and shoes I used r000, r11, r22, yg91, yg95, yg97, bg10, bg72, bg78, and c0-c9 to match the Olivia bg dp. I drew a line under her to ground her and colored using the c0-c3. This image is perfect for the out of the nestie technique so her legs are out of the box. I used Jens sfytt for my layout-another fabulous layout from Jen.

My little man had a great day yesterday. We went to his fave place to eat for lunch and then we went to a local place called Wilder's world. The kids love it! Its a huge place filled with those inflatable bouncing/jumping things, slides, everything. So they bounced their brains out yesterday and then we came home to fix his bday dinner of double decker tacos and strawberry cupcakes w/strawberry icing. Of course we had to finish it off watching Avatar on Netflix. Have a great day!

well..not so much today!LOL!! This another card that Im not totally happy with, but Im sharing it anyway. Sorry about the pic too...I was running short on time and just had to go with what I had and there are alot of shadows on my card.

First off Im having a blast coloring up all these sassy and cute images from Kenny k. This one is actually called All that. I colored her with copics to match the MME jack and jill dp. I wanted to do something a little different so I decided to cut her out. I used Mercys sketch for my layout and then realized the bottom is supposed to be 3 panels not 4..oh well!LOL!! Just one of those days!LOL! We're heading out today to spend the day celebrating my baby's bday. Cant believe hes 7 yrs old today!! Have a great one!!

Yesterday was an exciting day! We had a pool party for our birthday babies! I have 2 with a bday in July and Aug and my step sis has a little one who turns 1 today. So we had a big Toy Story 3 bday bash at my Moms yesterday. Yesterday was also the first challenge over at Kenny K's Krafty Girlz. The DT is divided into 2 teams and team A had the first challenge and its pastels. So pull out your pastels and Kenny K images and play along here and check out team A's gorgeous creations! Next Sunday team B (that Im on) will bring you another fun challenge.

Okay enough blah blah!LOL!! Onto the card..I got some goodies in the mail this week that included BG Green at heart dp. Ohhlala!! Love the colors in this! I had this KK uptown angel image waiting to be colored up so I grabbed her and colored her with copics. I tried a new (for me) skin tone on this one. I used r00, e21, and e95. I used e93 for blush. Her hair is colored using e13, e15, e17, e19. I was going for a khaki for her pants so I used e30, e31, and e33. For her shirt and shoes I used yr12, yr15, and yr18. I also added some orange peel stickles to her earrings and some clear glaze to her eyes, lips, teeth, and belt. I sponged memeto canteloupe ink around the nestie. I used Friday sketchers for my layout. A fun sketch but I had to try REALLY hard not to add a bow to that dusty durango polka dot ribbon!LOL! It really did look better without it though! I added some kraft brads and colored a paper daisy using yr18 and added a button and some pti twine. Well thats it for me today! Have a great one!!

Ya Old Buzzard

This weeks FS is Stephanie and since my Mom is hosting this week she asked me to make a sample. As I browsing through Stephanie's great gallery I came across this buzzardcard. My Dad's bday is this month and since I love picking on him about him being over 50 now I knew this image and sentiment were perfect! I even had the dp Stephanie used! I changed the layout and left off the stitching. Instead I distressed and sponged the edges and added the library clip and mini brads. Image is colored using copics and of course I didnt write them down (again!). The copic creations challenge is birds so Im entering this card. Buzzards count as birds right?!LOL! I wanted to thank everyone for all their sweet comments about my crappy week!LOL!! After alot of searching I was able to find everything on my computer except my archive of edited cards waiting to be shared so thankfully I still have all of them and can just take another pic. Thats it for me today! I have a quiet house and Im taking advantage!LOL!!
